Identification

8-10cm

• Buff rump and belly
• White iris

Distribution

Eastern Australia: found in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.

Taxonomy

Subspecies^[1]

There are 4 subspecies:

• A. r. squamata:

• Eastern Queensland (Atherton Tableland to Connors Range)

• A. r. nesa:

• South-eastern Queensland (Blackdown Tableland to New South Wales border)

• A. r. reguloides:

• South-eastern Australia (Queensland border to south and central Victoria)

• A. r. australis:

• Mount Lofty Range (South Australia) to south-western Victoria

Habitat

Eucalypt woodland, heathy dry forest, open decrepit forest, woodland or scrub.

Behaviour

Diet

It's diet consists of insects and lerps.
