Distribution
South America: found in north-eastern Brazil south of the Amazon (Pará to Piauí and northern Goiás).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Lowland deciduous forest, humid forest edge and scrub thickets.
Behaviour
Incompletely known but likely mainly plant materials are eaten. Nesting choice seems quite liberal.
