- Violet blue forehead to hind-neck and upperparts
- Blackish wings and tail
Distribution
Africa from Angola to Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Grassland and savanna, particularly seasonally flooded grassland. Usually found near water.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of flies and beetles.
