  • Pale stripe above eye
  • Dark brown wings with pale yellow edges
  • Black tail

Western Africa: Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Zambia
African Islands: Gulf of Guinea Islands, Bioko (Fernando Po)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

This is one of the many Sunbirds that have recently been moved to the genus Cinnyris from the genus Nectarinia.

Habitat

Forests and forest edges; plantations of tall trees.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of nectar, berries, fruit, insects and spiders.
