Caracara, Near-north Ontario (1 Viewer)

Peter C.

...just zis guy, you know?
Another real WOW! bird, a Crested Caracara has been reported near the town of Wawa, Ontario.

It was today re-found by a party of experienced observers, who found it near the Michipicoten First Nation. This is located on the west side of Hwy 17, just north of Lake Superior Provincial Park.

I know there are previous records for Canada (although I can't recall when or where) but this is still a super-rare species here - congratulations to the finders.
