Had a busy day at the feeders the other day, female Brambling, Redpoll (male?) and the first Yellowhammers (I have seen) in the garden.
The field and hedges are full of Yellowhammers and Reed Buntings at the moment, I've not seen or heard any new arrivals yet, including Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Swallows or House Martins.
Meanwhile, just out of good camera reach .....
The SEO continues to turn up when I'm not there, not ready, least expecting it..... etc.
Still, I get to see and watch it albeit at a distance.

Bit late of me but that Brambling is a male with that amount of black wearing into view on the head. Nice.

Yes, it's lovely to see Yellowhammers making a comeback. I've got one Up the Hill on my patch and also at the Mause Feeders. Been about 5 years since I've seen so many.

Hi all 👋 it's been a bit of a good week up here, not including weather of course, although the sun did shine on .............. memory isn't what it used to be 
We've had a few surprise visitors but still no sign of Swallows, House Martins, Swifts or Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler et al. Not surprised, it's been P'ing down for ages. Did hear a Cuckoo on Saturday though, that said, sounded more like Cuquip, maybe a bad throat?
So, just a wee set of photos from the month so far.
The last two only this morning. Thunder & Lightning forecast again so I'm off down to the cellar!

More thunder today??? We went up the Tullymurdoch road yesterday and it didn't half come down up there! Needless to say all the birds had taken cover!!
Lovely Grey Partridge that Scoz, though sorry not sure what's going on. Is it the same File Size as the other images. Or can you try and upload it into a separate post, and make a note of any error message if you get one. I can't save a copy of it to check it out here.
