    This guy had been sitting a bit far off in the woods, but as we pulled the car out it flew straight to us - shocking views! It made me feel a bit better about dipping on the Snowy. Cheers, Benji

    I've just added one more to my list; bringing me to 41 species now. Still no Snowy Owl though!! 41. Northern Hawk Owl

    According to my latest Clements list it looks like I'm at 40 species at the moment. Some pretty common ones are obviously not there still though. Most upsetting though is probably Snowy Owl, especially since I lived in Minnesota for 18 years! Maybe this coming winter?!? Australasian Grass-Owl...

    Wow, I've never counted owls specifically before but I've always felt I was a bit short. It turns out I've seen 39 species! Not terrible, but it looks like I still have a long way to go.
