    How many species of owl have you seen

    I've seen 37 typical owls and three barn owls. All were seen. My most glaring omission is Western Screech Owl. I've never been able to find one, even when I lived out West. Dave

    Hi Larry, It was near the high school, in a grove of pines between the school and a residential area to the south. It was just sleeping in a tree about 15 feet off the ground. Birders who had seen it earlier marked the spot with a little pile of snowballs. Dave
