    Best bird recorders for field recording

    I used to use a cheap generic "dictaphone" from Amazon which I used for recording species seen on WeBS surveys (early 90s). Worked superbly for about 5 years when I had to stop doing the survey. I gave it to the young woman who took over my patch and she used it for a few years more before...
