    You can Park at the Bridge House Hotel on the main road. (actually I think its a Travel Lodge). Then cross the road, go left along the pavement and then right at the public footpath, which eventually comes out a the bigger of the two lakes, where the Grebe hangs out. Last night it was skulking...

    You are right, you just need to get there early and stand by the outflow at the south end. Their were two Opsreys there last night, they seem to be fishing in Poole harbour and lugging their fish back to the lake to eat. Their route takes them directly over Moden Bog where they are easy to see...

    Hi Another good site and pretty close to Blandford is Morden/Sherford. Very good for Heathland birds. Waders are tricky in Poole harbour, easy to see but difficult to get close enough to photograph. Here are some snaps to whet your appetite. http://www.surfbirds.com/blog/DD/ Cheers Aidan
