    Duck ID required - Red Lotus Lake, near Udonthani, Thailand

    There were lots of these ducks, I think they are whistling ducks of some kind, but can't narrow it down, they took to the wing if we got too close, which showed the rather distinctive wing colouration off nicely... thanks for the help (in advance)

    Bird ID Needed Sunbird, Thailand

    ID needed for this bird. I believe it is a Brown-throated Sunbird, but my Birds Of Thailand book says that it doesn't venture as far north as Udonthani, where I saw it in Nong Prajak park today. Any assistance would be appreciated.
