    Car binoculars

Read your warranty T&Cs about storing in a car. Quote from one manufacturer below Do not transport or store your product in the glove compartment or unsecured in the boot of your car as the car’s movement can impart shocks to your instrument. Also extremes of temperature can build up in a car.

New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

I have been out birding and told another guy (with a big white canon lens) I had seen a nice Robin. To which he replied "Pifft ! is that all" . So yes you do get the all gear and no idea people. Not just other birders. Had one guy with little knowledge of binoculars who came to me after walking...

New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

Not being stupid. Maybe its been hidden. Understandable I guess. Just google Northern Optics in Lincolnshire. Not Northern optics and accessories as that will get a gun dealer in Scotland

Details in my sig at the bottom of every post

New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

That`s another 40 mile drive each way for the first poster. We often get customers from Lincoln despite LCE being on their doorstep and knowing they are there. Says something about our open days I guess

New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

See the links at bottom of my posts. You would be amazed how many people come looking for 10x42 and walk away with 8x42. They find they pick out just as much detail + wider view and easier to hand hold.

New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

Unsure if this is allowed. But our optics weekends are South bank of the Humber

Jun for fun. Dead serious (not) review of some 60x60 night vision ? binoculars

I am not actually the seller. Were donated by an unhappy Amazon buyer. Hence me not doing the usual sales plug at the end. Was just a fun upload alongside the usual stuff . Was in fact one of two sets he donated, which I shall donate on to others. I did actually have a little joke at the other...

    donating binoculars

In the UK, the wildlife trust should accept them, as they often have children activity / wildlife walk days. Unsure what the similar kind of thing is in the US

Jun for fun. Dead serious (not) review of some 60x60 night vision ? binoculars

Please mods, remove if not allowed. Just for fun, after a customer donated (wanted rid of) a set of Amazon 60x60 ? binoculars I did a dead serious  video about them. It contains no mockery or play on words whatsoever - Well OK, just a little. It is clean Going by the early comments on...

    Analysing Binoculars

Ditto all above. On my you-tube channel have had a few asking why don`t I take photos through the binoculars like proper channels do.

    Decent High Powered Binoculars

That reminded me of a guy who came to one of our optics weekends. He had a £20 BK7 set of 20x50s and wanted to look at close up detail 2 miles away. Let him look through a much higher sepc set of 7x50s. He agreed that he could pick out more detail with the 7x. BUT - His made things look bigger...

Chromatic Aberration, CA, what, why, how?

Great point. At our optics weekends many customers buying, whether first time or second / third pair upgrade will not notice any CA until I point it out to them. Maybe it is there and visible, but they are not looking for it.

UK binocular deals, special offers and bargains

To put another way. Not being fair with the dealer. Asking them to take several sets out the box. Making an offer on the fav set. Dealer accepting. Then buyer says "I`ll think about it" and never come back. Being fair with a dealer. Asking them to take several sets out the box. Making an offer...

UK binocular deals, special offers and bargains

That 3rd line made me chuckle. Speaking as a small dealer, I often wonder to myself if a small few know how to use a calculator when working out the difference between trade buy and retail sell. But have been guilty of human error myself when inputting prices. One product that I was part way...

Optica Exotica - really good youtube channel for binocular reviews

Yes YT can place adverts on non monetized channels. In particular if the video is getting good views and ticks all their boxes regards policy etc

Optica Exotica - really good youtube channel for binocular reviews

Speaking as one YT bins reviewer to another, sorry it did not work out. 2 tips I have found help were not to look at what numbers other channels were getting and to try and produce content that my audience like and not to impress the algorithm. I also have approached 20+ different brands to ask...

Trying out binoculars when no stores nearby?

Being "Up Nerth" don`t get many as far as Berkshire visit our optics weekends. But do get customers doing 1.5-2 hour round trips for the very reason you mention. So no need for me to repeat

    More contrast with ED scopes?

OK. Maybe mine and my customers eye sight needs testing. You could say with 18 years as a dealership I have looked through quite a lot of binocs (understatement of the year) so do know my stuff. Plus on a practical level with no on-line research know how to explain with practical demos to...

    More contrast with ED scopes?

I see my creamy quote has come back a couple of times. Although I do not have the optical knowledge as many here. (Have learnt some words I did not know existed.) Am a dealership though. So hopefully I know just a little about bins. With the tests I was mentioning, I simply got the ED and non...

    More contrast with ED scopes?

At our optics weekends , bear in mind a number of my customers are looking at bins and spotters for the 1st time, not knowing what any of the numbers or words mean. We all had to start somewhere , right ?, and have not clicked on a link in advance to research. So without insulting...

    "Best binoculars for ..."
