    Thanks for all the help you guys. I can't wait until I can et out Friday afternoon and start searching. If I have time I will try for snail kites as well. Or some swallow tail kites. Up here we rarely get those.

    I also am headed to Central Florida next week and am pretty much going to focus on the RCW and BHN. After that I will tool around and hit a couple other places. But Three Lakes is where I plan on spending my time for them. Any info on if the nesting sites are still active for roosting...

    I do not believe a nikon tc will work with those lenses. And for nikon i would go with a 1.4 and 1.7 only. the 2.0 is still not up to snuff.

    Ahhh. You were here during our first snow storm of the year. It kicked off a long and difficult winter for us :( I was in SD and saw lots of sparrows this week. Harris was my favorite of the trip. Lots of ducks (redheads and ring necks) to see. That is a time of year that I don't bird...

    Leica Televid 82 Delux 5 Combo

    I was wondering if anyone on here has tried the Delux5 (or LX5) and the Televid 82 for digiscoping with the Leica adapter? I see many Swar DS'ers on here and was thinking of getting the above Leica combo. If anyone has an argument for the Swar products instead of Leica I am all ears.

    Just stopping in to say hello! I finally registered after reading through all the excellent info here. I am a life long birder and am getting ready to jump into digiscoping after getting tired of dragging around the 600mm :) I look forward to the challenge!
