Mendobirder

Have been birding off-and-on since a high-school chum (Craig Roberts) got me interested when we were about fifteen years old. Craig stayed with it his whole life and became one of the most respected birders in Oregon; I kind of got distracted by other things for most of my working years and only got serious again about twenty years ago when we moved to the Mendocino coast.
Now I am President of the Mendocino Coast Audubon Society and help organize our birding activities, while also pursuing birds on my own time!
My wife is addicted to travel, and fortunately for me is also interested in birds, so we do travel-birding whenever we can manage it. We had a great trip to Scotland in May 2017 and a pretty good one to Brittany in 2019.
