Identification

  • Yellow below
  • Olive green above
  • Olive green crown, forehead and earcoverts
  • Yellow throat
  • White eyering
  • Black loral line
  • Yellow undertail-coverts, hind flanks and thighs
  • Median stripe on belly and lower breast
  • White-grey upper breast
  • White grey flanks
  • Red brown iris
  • Blue grey legs

Distribution

Southern Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Borneo, the Philippines, Sulu and Sulawesi (Indonesia).

Taxonomy

There are 8 subspecies.

Habitat

Damp lowland forests and cloud forest.
