Identification

Bright olive green upperparts and underparts contrasting with red wings togather with red crown and yellow nuchal crest diagnostic.Has white streaks on flanks. Male has red malar stripes.Size-25cm.

Distribution

Myanmar and Mala Peninsular to the Grater Sundas.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Forests,the forest edges,landwars fringes of mangroves.

Behaviour

frequents the middle and lower storeys."Drums"in short bursts.
