Taxonomy
This is a polytypic species[1] consisting of 3 subspecies.
Subspecies
- M. h.kidepoensis - Southeastern South Sudan and northeastern Uganda
- M,h. kathangorensis - Southeastern South Sudan and southwestern Ethiopia
- M. h.hypermetra - Somalia to Kenya and northern Tanzania
Habitat
Lowland grassland.
