Identification

Distribution

South America: occurs only in the Andes of central Chile (Atacama to B¡o-B¡o).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Dusky Tapaculo has recently been split from Magellanic Tapaculo.

Habitat

Temperate forests.
