Identification
33cm. Dark green back, golden forehead, light green nape and neck, blue grey lower neck and mantle, yellow green throat and upper breast, white belly, purple-red legs and feet, light blue base to bill. Males have a purple brown shoulder patch.
Distribution
China, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Temperate forests.
Behaviour
The diet includes fruit and occasionally acorns.
They build a flimsy nest of twigs and 2 white eggs are laid.
