Identification
9 cm, short tail, short thick curved bill and tubular tongue. Olive-brown upperparts and greyish white underparts.
Distribtuion
Southern Asia from India east to Indonesia.
Taxonomy

- D. c. olivaceum:
- D. c. concolor (subflavum):
- Western Ghats and coastal south-western India - sometimes split as Nilgiri Flowerpecker, leaving the rest of the species with the scientific name Dicaeum minullum
- D. c. virescens:
- South and Middle Andaman Islands - sometimes split as Andaman Flowerpecker
- D. c. minullum:
- Hainan Island (southern China)
- D. c. uchidai:
- Montane forests of Taiwan
- D. c. borneanum:
- Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo and North Natuna Island
- D. c. sollicitans:
Habitat
Woodland edges, cultivation and isolated stands of trees, often in hilly country.
Behaviour
Breeding
The 2-3 eggs are laid in a purse-like nest suspended from a tree or bush.
