Distribution

Bianchi's Warbler is found in most of China, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

Wintering to the south including, for example, Thailand.

Taxonomy

This is one of six species that used to be considered one under the name of Golden-spectacled Warbler. After the split, the other five are Golden-spectacled Warbler, Grey-crowned Warbler, Plain-tailed Warbler, Whistler's Warbler, and Martens's Warbler.

Subspecies

Bianchi's Warbler has two subspecies[1]:

  • S. v. valentini:
  • Central and south-western China; winters to southern Yunnan, north-western Thailand and northern Laos
  • S. v. latouchei:
  • Central and eastern China

Habitat

Temperate forests, moist lowland forests, and moist montanes.
