Thailand, Malay Peninsula, and Greater Sunda Islands.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species, which in the past was viewed as including several subspecies which now are seen as full species: Philippine Hawk-Cuckoo, Hodgson's Hawk-Cuckoo, and Northern Hawk-Cuckoo.
