- Alophoixus ochraceus
Identification
Stocky with shaggy crest.Upperparts greyish brown with olive wash on mantle and refescent wash on rump and uppertail coverts;sides of head(including ear coverts) greyish brown;chin and throat white;underparts dusky grey with greyish tinge on flanks;undertail coverts rufescent buff.Juvenile--Uppertail coverts ,wing coverts and seconderies rusty rufescent,very distinct from mantle.Size-23cm.
Distribution
Central Myanmar through the Malaya Peninsular to Sumatra and Borneo.

Habitat
Forests and the forest edges.
Behaviour
Associates in loose parties of five or six individuals,feeding in fruiting trees and scrubs,often displacing other smaller bulbuls.Often puffs out throat when calling.
