Identification
58–63 cm
- Brown overall, with greyish-brown tinge to neck and head
- Fine whitish edging to foreneck and breast
- Long tail
- Bare blue ocular area
- Prominent red dewlap
- Dull red legs
Distribution
South America: found on the western slope of Andes of Colombia and Ecuador
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Humid forests, up to a height around 1500 m.
Behaviour
Diet
They eat small fruits, but little else is known about what they eat.
