This is a monotypic species[1].

Lowland rainforests.
Behaviour
Breeding
The nest is a leaf-lined ground scrape, hidden under leaf litter. The 5-6 white eggs are incubated for 18 days.
Diet
The diet includes invertebrates, seeds and fruit.
Vocalisation
Song: whistled si-ul.
