Kaeng Krachan National park

Overview

Phetchaburi. The country's largest national park, and regarded as one of Thailand's most important remaining wildlife habitats, Kaeng Krachan is truly a birdwatching must. Located only 3 hours drive from Bangkok, Kaeng Krachan boasts some of the best forest, birding and wildlife viewing opportunities in the country.

Birds

Notable Species

With over 400 bird species, the park is home to five species of hornbill: the Great Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Brown Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill and Plain-pouched Hornbill.

At the higher elevations of the park other delights include the Long-tailed Broadbill and the Ratchet-tailed Treepie (in Thailand, can only be found in Kaeng Krachan).
