Pelagic or Brandt’s Cormorant Coos Bay, Oregon 2-6-2024 (1 Viewer)

Saw this juvenile today. Pelagic is more common in Coos Bay during the winter. May not be able to tell by this photo as the juveniles are fairly similar.

I'd take it to be pelagic cormorant: ultra-thin bill, (almost-)all-dark face.

Agreed; immature Brandt's should be paler on breast and on chin

Thank you both. I thought it was pelagic cormorant just wanted to be sure as it is a life bird for me.
