Hi All, Just wondered if anyone could give me a definitive answer on the above please? I own the Opticron ES80 ED v3 with the HDF 23x & 32x & i'm happy with it but i've never looked through an ED78 or ED82 for that matter but krrp hearing how great they are even though fairly old by today's standards.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I can’t help as I have never looked through any of the ‘scopes you mention.
However, 99.99% of reputable optics dealers who stock a ‘scope that you are interested in will definitely let you examine one and use it (under their supervision).
This will allow you to make sure that (if you really love the 'scope) it’s right for you.
