Morning dove (1 Viewer)

We had a morning dove make a nest on our garage opener we moved her nest because it had a egg in it we put it in a box on our front porch she left but she came to the box this morning we saw she had laid another egg hope they hatch

Hi again Jodie.

You were really lucky to have got away with moving the nest, as generally birds are very shy and wary of any disturbance such as this.

Now the deed is done though, is it possible to restrict the amount of traffic to your porch while she continues to lay and raise the young?

Hi Jodie,
Is the nest on the ground on your patio? If so, it would be good to elevate it so it won't be easy for cats to get to it. If you could put it at about the same height as the original site, that would be good. A shelf or ledge? Maybe a hanging basket type thing that you could fit the nest into.
