Kumlien’s vs. Thayer’s subspecies of Iceland Gull? (1 Viewer)

Today at Ashbridge’s Bay Park in Toronto I saw this Iceland Gull subspecies hanging out with a group of Ring-billed Gulls. Considering the colouring on the tail it’s one of the subspecies and I guess Kumlien’s is expected more commonly in our area than Thayer’s, but others have been reporting Thayer’s at that park. To me, I though the grey-edged primaries were more “Kumlien‘s-like” but I’m not sure.

Any opinions?

Best regards,
---Norm

Still hoping for some opinions. I went back today and took this photo showing (I believe) two Ring-billed Gulls in the lower right, one Herring Gull in the upper left, and three Iceland gulls -- one glaucoides in the centre with a kumlien's to the left and another to the upper right.

Would you agree?

Best regards,
---Norm
