Hi all. It turns out that harvesting brings out the birds of prey, I guess it flushes out all sorts of critters. I watched this bird on the ground for quite some time before three Red Kites turned up and either wanted its meal or didn't like its company. That said, I'm not sure what the bird is, a young Buzzard or another bird?
Excuse the terrible crop of the Red Kite attacking, real long shot but I've never had the opportunity to capture anything like it before.

Could you give the location and date, please? Thanks.
If the location is suitable.... yes, common buzzard. I shan't age it.
Sorry Butty, it's in Perthshire, just outside Alyth, I had "normal" looking buzzards around as well, this just looks quite different, one of these Apps ID'd it as Rough Legged! Date today :)
