Green Spring Is In The Northlands (1 Viewer)

The robin singing on leafy birch bough
By the Cails waters close to the Finnow
Green Spring is in the Northlands far away
And wildflowers bloom in the old fields today
In groves and hedgerows nesting song birds sing
And Nature's beauty adorns the Northern Spring
Where a love of Nature within me did grow
By distant hills many decades ago
I fancy I hear the silver tongued rill
By ditch and hedgerow babbling down the hill
And the dipper's song I fancy I do hear
The stream he sings in to my thoughts is near
And I hear the familiar lowing of a cow
In a rushy field by the waters of Finnow.
