Vienna early October (1 Viewer)

Mad scientist
I'll be visiting Vienna during the first week of October and have a limited amount of time to do some birding in or near the city. Is there any chance of Caspian Gull along the Danube, and any info on woodpecker sites (esp. Middle Spotted, Syrian, White-backed, Grey-headed) is gratefully received :t:
eBird uptake seems to be a bit limited in Austria and the info online is pretty sparse too.

Many thanks,
Joost

"In the Donau auen national park, Lower Austria, a comprehensive survey of the woodpecker community was conducted in a 1170 ha study area between February and April 2008. Up to five woodpecker species occurred syntopically; on average 3.0 species could be recorded per 16 ha grid square. The densities of Greater Spotted Woodpecker Dendrocopos major (5.98 territories/10 ha), Lesser Spotted Woodpecker D. minor (0.20–0.24 territories/10 ha), Green Woodpecker Picus viridis (0.14–0.15 territories/10 ha) and Black Woodpecker Dryocopus martius (0.06 territories/10 ha) were comparatively high. The Middle Spotted Woodpecker D. medius (0.28 territories/10 ha) occurred at lower densities than in many other lowland forests, which may be attributed to the low proportion of oaks (10%) and the low age of the stands (mean 54 years) in our study area"

Many thanks, Lainzer Tiergarten looks like my best option for the woodpeckers (Wienerwald being a bit too far out). I'll have a good look at the Danube gulls as well :)
