I,ve just returned from a birding / relaxing holiday at Algorfa S.E Spain.For those who are not familiar with Algorfa, it is 15/20 mins S/west of Alicante.
I,m not an ultra-cult birder but enjoy my spotting and managed to record 100 species,which I was chuffed about.There are 4/5 Reserves in this area that offer different types of habitat so give a varied and interesting array of species.The list of my recorded species are as follows:
From the apartment balcony:

The 1 stars are new spots for me and the 2* is a mega spot for me.
The areas visited were El Hondo Reserve(north gate)and the general reserve-- Santa Pola(salt marshes) La Pedrera Reservoir and the Rio de Sigura River.
