My base was near Rosalina in agriturismo appartment.
The parc is very unknown in Germany in comparing e.g. with National Park Neusiedler See in Austria.

But I red an report of bird book author Christoph Moning. He was there end of May 2001.

He was at lake in south of Comacchio.

I watched mostly in the area of Porto Viro and south east of Porto Tolle.

The agriturismo area had a small reed area with nice Herons and also Europian Turtle, witch is extrem hard to find in Germany. Also Scops Owl and Little Bittern was there different time.

First day we checked the area along the Street to isola di Albarella.
This is good for waders, herons, terns, gull and the highlight the Flamingo.
Unfortunately the street is quite frequentend and very few points for stopping cars.

The next area is botanical garden. This interesting place has also some interesting birds like Montagues Harrier.
At the way from Rosalina Mare to the garden are different good view points for waders.

The highlight was the area east of Porto Viro from main river to Volto.
There was different points for waders, terns and gulls.
The area was very empty.

But before we reached Ca Corniera. From agriculture area at a small lake ( with some herons ), we reached the main river. There is some interesting forest at the river where we found 8 Night Herons.
At the small lake at agriculture company was a Squacco Heron

South east of Porto Tolle are not to much highlights but Oasi di Ca'Mello was intersting with different herons, Beeaters and mainy small birds in the reed ( but mostly only short to seen, rather only hear the voice )

Beeaters seems still on migration. We saw about 20 at this day mostly sitting at electric cables.

Generell information centre is in Rosolina Mare.
A vistitor centre for the park is in Porto Viro near main street.
We met a specialist with very good english skills.
He recommended us bird tour guides, but they had no english skills.

English language is quite often spoken, because this is a touristy area ( but not in this time ).
