Yet another set of cheap binoculars on the market Optisan is the name , another clone of the els. If interested there are some good photo's on the birdnet website.For the price they are said to be very good.

I forgot to mention in the Mojave thread that I am not a fan of open frames. So even though it makes it look expensive, it could be a weak point in the structure if done poorly. There is really nothing wrong with standard roof prism design, it makes a steady, light weight binocular, like the Monarch.

My hands know where to go, i don't think about it.

Ditto..I got a chance to try out Mojave this weekend. I was actually quite disappointed by its overall construction. Don't automatically assume you are getting an EL alternative whenever you see an open hinge design.
