    No wonder there were thousands of hirundines, the midges were everywhere.....like a mist as I drove down the lanes...... also had an Oystercatcher on the north end ( is it dark lane?)

    Met up with a few others at Camp Lane on Sunday evening,they were early and saw the Peregrine fly off to Worcester.....and we hoped to see the Starlings. Not dissapointed as well....we were told it was not a vintage display but I loved it.They just kept coming ....whirling around and skimming...

    Have to give it another go...As I said everything was a long way off with just Bins.I only found a Male Goldeneye..... Is the path around the bottom of the cereal field ? Keith :t:

    Thanks.....My first visit to here (at Camp Lane) and everything was too far away for proper pics.Some brill ones on the Flickr site.Looks like there are a lot of different habitats around there. Keith :t:

    After reading this thread over the last few weeks I bit the bullet and decided to visit.Only ever been around the area once to get the Slav Grebe at the fishing place a few years ago. Not knowing where to go as soon as I saw water I stopped and thanks to the chap from Quinton who pointed me...

    Thanks...just checked it out with Pete Forbes (Shustoke Birds) who informed me of it's whereabouts at the time and he confirmed it as 15th June '86 at Larford......you both must have the same book or keep great records. Keith :t:

I would love to visit again (popped over for the Slav on the fishing ponds some years back) but it looks such a big site and I would not be confident enough to know where to even...
