    RSPB Middleton Lakes

    For a chance to see the Bittern you need to look from the west side of the lake, I had it looking from the northwest end, looking to where a fence goes into the water on the far side. It's noticeable that much of the reeds have been trampled down probably by fishermen, not by birders I hope...
