Guess the bird ... by it's alternative name

Ok, time for the (... drumroll ... ) Big Reveal - Reed Bunting. Obviously being far too cryptic (although to be fair it is a fairly cryptic species). One of Bill Oddie's (Bloody, gettit? ;-) ) claims to fame was finding a Pallas's Reed Bunting (mega rare vagrant to UK). Unfortunately, time...

Guess the bird ... by it's alternative name

The bit in bold was meant to be followed by a smiley of course - this thread was inspired (if that is the right word?) by the AOS bird naming proposal thread - https://www.birdforum.net/threads/aos-to-discard-patronyms-in-english-names.447338/ and is meant to be a light hearted place to make...

Guess the bird ... by it's alternative name

I'm trying to think of a glossy capped bird even ... Given the contrast to the other bird, we're not talking Marsh Tit are we? (Doesn't dig it's own nests)

Guess the bird ... by it's alternative name

Nope ... sorry. (Europe wasn't meant to be an equivalence to Eurasia btw, I just was being general ;-) A country can do instead, and not necessarily necessary, but may help people hone in-on, considering the internationalness of the forum ...)

Guess the bird ... by it's alternative name

An appropriate descriptive/guessable name, maybe more appropriate than it's existing one, or maybe not in some cases. No patronyms or derogatory place names please. An easy one to start, hopefully - ?? New name (plus part of the world found in) Pied Flufftail (Europe) = ???
