As far as I am aware, the Park is actively moving cormorants on with an agrilaser. They are spending a lot of money on improving the fishing at the moment. Hi John, I don't think it goes through Alvecote pools. The route as I understand it follows the M42 quite closely. Just like the motorway, the HS2 route goes over the river Anker well upstream of the actual pools. I would rather it didn't go anywhere near them at all, but it looks like we will...- Moocher
