At least on my browser the box showing the species information is quite narrow too, so there is a lot of wasted space at the sides of the screen. If you could make that wider, and the English names column narrower that would be fantastic Cheers James- James Lowther

Oh god what have I started….. English pronunciation clearly has no fixed rules, impossible to suggest otherwise. I cannot think of a single other language where pronunciation is so flexible, especially in terms of vowel sounds. As for cacique, as it’s a Latin American Spanish loan word happy...- James Lowther

Generally speaking in IOC and other bird checklists two species will never be given names of the form XYZ and YZ e.g. Eastern Hooded Pitta and Hooded Pitta. The second species will always have an extra unique name. Cheers James- James Lowther
