    Black Terns and waders at Collingham In a quick visit I saw 2 Black Tern, a summer plumage Knot, a dunlin and a Greenshank at Collingham on Wednesday 4th. My first visit ever to this Trent Valley site despite birding this part of the valley many many times over the years. Cheers

    Mannix Was it not Clayworth Common and also The Willows where you and others saw the (female) Merlin. Neither of these sites are within the Idle Valley NR bondaries! Another example of why not to use the IVNR as a 'blanket name' for the far greater Lound Bird Club recording area. Cheers...

    Hi mannix I'd guess that both Marsh & Willow Tit are probably found in Clumber these days. I certainly saw lots of Marsh Tit there in the 80's & 90's on the many bird races we did in Notts but not sure of their status nowadays. Good Birding Gary Hobson
