    Spring is in the air here already with 2 robins and 2 wrens courting :t: I have been told that the sparrowhawk I posted photos of on the previous page is a male but no explanation yet for his funny eye! Numbers are down here also with no unusuals.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY:t: My son was here on New Year's Eve and managed to get some photos of this cheeky sparrowhawk, female??? It appears to have a strange pupil in its right eye. The photos were taken through the conservatory window and the tree is about 15 feet away. :t:

    We had a visitor in the kitchen this morning. Hubby was out so I had to call my friend, the birder, to get it out. I couldn't recognise the breed so when my friend said it was a willow warbler I was amazed. I have never seen one. Happily, he got it out safely and I have a new garden tick :t:

    Thought you might like to see what our woody was getting up to when he came for breakfast, also a couple of the doves pushing each other off the tray to get at the hearts. Rice Krispies on the table and hubby had been sweeping all the seed etc into the bucket. He took the photos. :t:
