    i also looked this morning couldnt see any line on them. its the line and hooks snagged in the water thats the biggest problem. some fishing club own it now i believe.

    west pastures 30/31 may looking for owls, didn't see or hear a single one :( l-t tit chiffchaff willow warbler goldfinch, with ybs wren jackdaw house sparrow collar dove wood pigeon crow rook dunnock 6 distant geese heading north then turned over wardley heaps and headed west 8.20 pm kestrel...

    testo's/quadrus pond cygnets hatching out,6 days earlier than 2010, mallard ducklings, young coots and young moorhens all being chased by the cob. lots of swallows and swifts along the allotments, in and out of stables.

    colliery woods bouncing with bird song this morning and also rampaging magpies.... afew fledgling blackbirds on the ground. i think most the frog spawn was wrecked with the pond surface freezing up but was hard to see for lager cans.

    loads of orange tips about west pastures along with peacocks, large and small whites, green vein, sm torts and 1 comma at the bog pond and a large toad :)
