Territorial fight- Magpie and Crow. Dublin, Ireland

Was intrigued to watch a 5 or 6 minute skirmish between the Crow and Magpie this morning - it was taking place over very a large tree so maybe a fight over nesting rights? Just wondering if it can be established from the photo f this is a Hooded Crow?

Grey Heron. Dodder river in Ireland

Fox and Gull- Dodder river in Ireland

This is a still from a standard camera video taken by a friend today. The banter on the video talks about a 'Seagull' entering the frame. But I think it may be a Black Headed gull possibly worried about the fox approaching a lanned nesting area???

Photo taken today- banks of Dodder river in Ireland

Thanks to previous help I received on this forum- I thought Ihat I had safely identified this butterfly as a Tortoiseshell. But when looking at the photo- there seems to be a missing 'section' at the rear of the butterfly! I wonder did it meet with an accident or is this a normal appearance?
