    01/03. Only the one Common Quaker last night.

    01/02. Only one moth tonight, on the wall by the trap a Spring Usher. New for Garden, first new one of the year. Went for a walk earlier: found one Winter Moth, one March Moth and netted 33 Dotted Borders. The latter were leaving the wood in reasonable numbers along a field edge.

    November Moths

    01/11. Far too windy to trap as its blowing a gale out there. But a bit of serendipity this evening got the month off to a positive start. Went to put the bin out for the morning and came back to find two moths in the outside corridor. Dark Chestnut and Satellite, both garden ticks.

    1st Sept. Cool again but slightly more moths than night before, 44 moths of 20 species. Nothing new or exciting. A Chinese Character; still my favorite moth; White-point, Green Carpet, Snout, Garden Carpet and other expected individuals. Square-spot Rustic seems to be popular at the moment...
