    Warbler? Halifax Canada.

    Was thinking autumn blackpoll, now not sure. Wing bars pretty dull, I see an eyebrow, eyestripe, eye-line. I see light streaking underneath. Might see black leg and lighter feet... any advice appreciated... E2

    hawk- single white tail stripe - Nova Scotia

    That white tail bar, and shape is what I'm going by. My nearest guess is Dark phase broad-winged. If so, how rare is the dark morph broadwinged?(bird book says so) Any help appreciated. thanks. E2

    I saw one reference somewhere online (trying to refind it now). I have a photo of a flicker with a red nape cresent and a red malar stripe. I expected either black malar stripe or no red nape cresent. Almost glossed over it, but something didn't look right... Saw it while visiting Vancouver...
