Identification

• Yellow below
• Olive green above
• Olive green crown, forehead and earcoverts
• Yellow throat
• White eyering
• Black loral line
• Yellow undertail-coverts, hind flanks and thighs
• Median stripe on belly and lower breast
• White-grey upper breast
• White grey flanks
• Red brown iris
• Blue grey legs

Distribution

Southern Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Borneo, the Philippines, Sulu and Sulawesi (Indonesia).

• Peninsula Thailand to Malaysia and northern Borneo

• Philippines (Basilan, Dinagat, Mindanao, Siargao, Camiguin Sur)

• Z. e. boholensis:

• Philippines (Bohol, Leyte, Samar, Calicoan and Biliran)

• Z. e.siquijorensis:

• Philippines (Siquijor)

• Z. e. mandibularis:

• Sulu Archipelago (Sulu, Tawitawi, Jolo, Bongao, Sanga Sanga)

• Z. e. babelo:

• Talaud Island (Karakelong and Salebabu) and northern Sulawesi

Habitat

Damp lowland forests and cloud forest.
