35cm. All-white body, retractile yellow crest, yellowish patches on the sides of the face, bluish-white bare orbital skin, grey feet, black bill, and yellow crest. Sexes similar.

Timor-Leste, Bali, Timor, Sulawesi and Lesser Sunda Islands.

There is a feral population of these birds in the Sheung Wan area of Hong Kong.

Evergreen, moist deciduous, monsoon and semi-evergreenforest and forest edge, scrub and agricultural land.

[edit] Behaviour

The diet includes seeds, buds, fruits, nuts and herbaceous plants.

They nest in a tree hole. 2-3 white eggs are laid, and are incubated by both parents for about 28 days. The young fledge after 75 days.
