[edit] Identification

Three outer tail feathers white, otherwise mostly green with dark blue throat and white moustacial stripe. About 5 inches long.

Found on Tobago but not Trinidad, and otherwise ranges over a relatively difficult to access montane area of Venezuela.

This is a monotypic species

[edit] Habitat

Forested areas, mostly in hilly and montane regions

[edit] Behaviour

Mostly feed from nectar and arthropods caught in the understory, but also can utilize bromeliads.

Breeding season seems to be mainly January to April, and normally, two white eggs are laid.
